Get some of that Obama train money. Better here than Nevada.

  2. Andre Austin says:

Great!! I would like to see a passenger train that would follow the old Tennessee Route from Washington, D.C. to Memphis, Tennessee. Stops could be in Washington, DC, Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Bristol,Va., Knoxville, Chattanooga, Tenn., Huntsville, Decatur, Ala., and Memphis, Tenn. There in Memphis, you could connect with the Chicago to New Orleans Train.

  3. Effie George says:

I would 100% love a passenger rail connecting DC and Roanoke directly rather than the current service to Lychburg and Clifton Forge. Roanoke needs the passenger rail BIG TIME!!

  4. Ed De Launey says:

Amtrak should seriously look closer at their routes and see why a train from Cincinnati/Bluefield/Roanoke/C’ville/DC would not work here. I like the new Amtrak service from L’burg but their station is crummy and I don’t feel safe in leaving the car there! Taking a Smart Way bus would help but it would do nothing for people coming to Roanoke from DC. It is a real bottleneck but I don’t see any hope from these republican legislators we have in Richmond.
